Skyriders Kitesurfing general description  Safaga - Egypt

Safaga is the ultimate all-round kitesurf spot and suitable for everyone, from beginners to absolute experts!
The turquoise waters of Kite Bay commence upwind of the bathing zone; here kitesurfers will find a 350m x 150m waist-deep kitesurf area, the first part of which is protected by a spit. In the morning the wind is side off shore from the left and turns in the afternoon to side shore.

At high tide, Kite Bay is ideally suited to body-drag and water-start instruction and of course for one's first few metres on the kitesurf board. kitesurfers who have successfully completed their first few water launches can head for the stretch of beach upwind of Kite Bay at low tide (Kite Bay II). There you will find a very long beach which is just perfect for going upwind.

The spot is excellently suited to advanced kitesurfers, due to its outstanding wind potential. In addition, a kite trip by boat, with a separate lifeboat, to Kiriazi Bay (Soma Bay) is also available (on demande). This excursion is a magnificent highlight, rounding off our tuition. To round off this excursion, a 5 kilometre long downwind trip with the kite back to the Shams Hotel is possible

The Center
Our Skyriders center is windwards of the Club Mistral center and offers latest equipment for all skill levels! The kite beach, for launching and landing, is right next to the center. The center offers the lates equipment from North Kiteboarding.
The center has two rescue boats, which guarantee safety on the water during opening times (8.30 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and can be coordinated from the Club Mistral centre by wireless and walkie talkie.
For private kitesurfers, a rescue service package is available, which covers unlimited rescue for the period booked. We offer as well lockers for private kiters.

Our guests have the possibility to book in the Shams Safaga 3 * or the new Hotel Shams Safaga with 5*.
