Alacati, Turkey

The spot in Alacati
As a result of all the windsurfers, kite-surfing is forbidden in front of the centre, so throughout the day we make regular
trips to the kite-lagoon which is around 10 minutes away and perfect for practicing your new moves.
The lagoon is a perfect for learners and improvers, the ideal
spot to benefit from our professional instructors. The
combination of constant wind and shallow water makes
Alacati a particularly good spot for kite-surfers of all abilities.
Two lifeboats and a lifeguard team are always on duty to
ensure maximum safety for you. Every year, we offer you the very latest North Kiteboarding equipment.
The region's many open thermal springs invite you to relax
after your kitesurfing excursions, and you can also get a
massage if you wish, or you can choose out of a big variety of bars and restaurants to spend your evening at.
Wind and waves
The famous meltemi blows from a northerly direction from
early June to late September. Usually, the wind is somewhat
less strong in the morning, intensifies in the course of the day, before again waning slightly, towards evening. In spring and autumn, the Poyras is the prevailing wind. It comes from the south. The “Poiras” blows sideshore from the right. At this time, nice small waves break in the bay. Even on days with strong wind, beginners and intermediates can enjoy moderate wind conditions in the morning and afternoon.
The center
Our centre is situated on an approximately 70-m-long beach
and is about 60 m back from the shore. The building is protected from the wind and offers plenty of space; it also has showers, changing rooms and toilets. Murat's cosy beach restaurant offers meals and snacks if your stomach rumbles during in-between-surfing periods.
