Cabarete offers about 5 different kitesurfing spots!

La Policia
The closest spot to our Skyriders Center is La Policia. Only
about 3 mins walking distances wind wards from the center. Beginner kitel lessons are taking place with kite flying on the beach. Advanced kitesurfers (Minimum going upwind, level 3)
will find at this spot the perfect conditions on the water. You
can reach the spot directly from the main beach of Cabarete. Kitesurfing at this spot is only allowed wind wards of the windsurfing zone.

Bozo Beach
Another kitesurfing spot close to the is Bozo Beach, which is situated leewards in the bay of Cabarete. The water is flat till choppy and the wind is side onshore. More outside there is a
reef (800 m away) with a breaking wave. The kitesurfing spot
is suitable for all levels.

Kitebay
Kitebay is situated between Pozo,- and Kitebeach. This bay is
a good alternative when the shorebreak on Pozo beach is too challenging for kitesurfers during the winter months.

Kitebeach
Kitebeach is situated in the next bay direction to Sosua. The wind is side onshore and the water is quite flat. There is a nice wave on the outside reef about 400m away from the shore. By foot you can reach kitebeach in 25 mins, with car or Moto-
concho it is only 5 mins. Unfortunately this beach is most of
the time to busy with too many kitesurfers.

Lagune
The lagune is about 4 km wind wards of the Skyriders Center.
The wide sandy beach offers the perfect conditions for the
first kite flying on the beach. Please take care because in this lagoon there is no space for more than 4 kitesurfers on the
same time. We are using this spot for downwind kitesurf excursions on the seaside. The easiest way to get to the
lagoon is by taxi or motoconcho.

Special about Cabaret is that you will find a variety of different spots with flat and choppy water, reafbreak and shorebreak. There is no problem between windsurfer and kitesurfers on the beach cause we separated it into different zones.

Wind and waves
The wind start is the morning with a moderate breeze and increases in the afternoon to 4 till 6 bft. In the winter time
kites between 12 und 16 sqm will be mainly used.

The mainly consistant side on shore trade winds guarantee
fast learning process with a lot of safety. You will always come back to the beach unassisted. Cabarete is the kitesurfing spot
for all levels Step by Step you can dare to check out the waves on the reef.

The Center 
It's situated in the windward part of the Cabarete bay at the hotel Pequeno Refugio (the hotel is closed at the moment because of renovation work) On our 'chill-out'-terrasse we
enjoy the nicest view on all our kitesurfing spots of the
Cabarete bay.

On top Skyriders Cabarete will offer Exclusive-Tution from the boat starting with the winterseason 08/09.

We do have a mobile kitesurfing school. That means that we always choose the right kitesurf spot depending on the wind
and wave conditions and how many people use the same spot.
