A few weeks ago we also visited the spot at our Club Mistral & Skyriders Center in Ras Sudr/Egypt. As we have said in the past, Ras Sudr is THE spot for everybody who wants to focus only on wind- and kitesurfing and who doesn’t care about the standard of the accommodations. You will hardly find another spot that offers so much space to play on the water.
We are happy to say that the Sinai Stars Resort (former Ramada) has improved a little bit in terms of service quality. The management tries hard to progress step by step. The rooms closest to our center have been renovated – meaning they have been repainted and have new bathrooms tiles. Depending on availability our guests receive a free upgrade to the larger and nicer suite rooms upon arrival.

The breakfast buffet offers a little more variety now and the dinner is also OK. Certainly you can’t expect fancy dishes, but the selection and taste is satisfactory.

The Green Hotel suffered from a flood that came down from the mountains this winter. They are currently renovating the pathways and the outdoor facilities. Also at Green Hotel the reservation staff always try to accommodate our guests in the front row behind our second center. The food and service here is alright and comparable to the Sinai Stars Hotel.

We also proudly present our new center manager in Ras Sudr, Mohammed Hassan, who has already worked with us for many years. He and his international staff form a great team, providing excellent service and a great atmosphere at the center.
Waist deep flat water makes Ras Sudr a real paradise for kitesurfers, but even windsurfers find excellent conditions to improve their skills on the endless space of water.

We conduct our windsurf beginner training mainly at the Green Hotel center. There are two very suitable and safe lagoons. The kite courses take place in the middle of the bay, so they never get in each other’s way.

Ras Sudr is certainly one of the best spots for wind- and kitesurfing. It is not the right place for people seeking a nice and comfortable hotel and a variety of activities. We recommend combining your stay in Ras Sudr with a 2 or 3 day visit to Cairo. We will be happy to assist you.
