Matthew Buzza

Name : Matthew Buzza
Born : 1969
Team member since : 2000
Prior Club Mistral Destinations :

Matthew came to Club Mistral via a rather roundabout route. He was on holidays at the Dahab Helnan centre and, finding the atmosphere at the centre and life on the beach so very much to his taste, he, and his friend Simon, made the spur-of-the-moment decision to apply for a job with Club mistral as windsurfing instructors. His passion for windsurfing was one of the main reasons for this decision. So, inspired by the thought "No risk, no gain", he and his best friend travelled to the Club Mistral headquarters in Bavaria  for an interview. There, the two friends were given the opportunity to spend a summer working in Dahab as windsurf instructors. At that stage, however, Matthew did not realize that a new door had opened in his life, bringing dramatic changes with it.
Matthew had learned to windsurf in southern England with its "unpleasant" temperatures and hard shorebreak.
His windsurfing skills level, whether wave riding or freestyle, was already very high, but during his season in Dahab, he made considerable progress of course. After 6 months' 'time out' in Dahab, Matthew returned to England to resume work on the setting up of his own web design and programming firm.
Matthew's contact and friendly relations with Club Mistral nevertheless remained in place over the years and in 2004 Matthew and his team programmed the new Club Mistral web site. As a result, Matthew made a number of trips to our headquarters in Bavaria and became so keen on the idea of working at a centre again that he decided to relive his dream and return to Dahab as Centre Manager at the end of 2005. He did not give up his firm in England, however, as he can do a lot of work from Dahab anyway. He can also rely on his team in England, which has been under his competent management for the past few years.
He is also managing the Club Mistral centre at the Dahab Hilton very successfully. With his keen sense of humour and unruffled, pleasant manner, he is very popular with both guests and the team. He is extremely competent and manages the centre in a most professional manner.

Good that Matthew's mother tongue is English and everyone therefore understands him, as he must certainly be the first and only Club Mistral team member to speak only one language. 
He is, however, now working hard at honing his skills in Arabic!
Despite the language barrier, Matthew has no difficulties in acclimatizing to foreign cultures and adapting to them. His popularity with our French guests has grown tremendously, ever since he proved to be an absolute Ricard fan. Ricard is still one of his favourite drinks.

Matthew is a top Club Mistral team member; he thinks in a very business-, target- and customer-oriented manner, thus making a very valuable contribution to the successful growth and development of the Dahab centre.
Mabrouk Awi, sadiki!
We are proud to have you in our team, Matthew, and hope that you will stay with Club Mistral for a long time to come!
