Our Team Member for May is Sandra Dendas. We would first like to thank Sandra for the magnificent work she and her entire team did on the occasion of the 2004 Centre Manager get-together on Cape Verde. Their contribution was one of the main reasons for the success of our meeting.
Born in Belgium in 1975, Sandra gathered a lot of experience in the field of sales promotion and event organisation before working for us and this, together with the many languages she speaks, created an ideal basis for managing a centre. Sandra worked as a promotion girl, children's entertainment organizer, French and Dutch teacher in a European language school, translator for UNICEF, language trainer at the European Parliament in Brussels and, last but not least, organiser pf various events for Nivea and Renault.
6 years ago, after meeting her present partner, and Club Mistral Centre Manager, Mathieu Deltour, she decided to join him and commenced work for Club Mistral in October 2000 as a tour representative.
Their joint activities for Club Mistral have taken Sandra and Mathieu to a variety of centres, including Venezuela, Egypt and Cape Verde. They are still just as in love with one another as on the first day, which makes working together even more enjoyable. They met at a party, both of them already somewhat 'out of it', after imbibing a fair bit of alcohol; Mathieu was nevertheless able to remember Sandra's mobile number, which she had mumbled only once. He remembered it until the next morning and called her, without having made a note of it anywhere!
The two are a perfect team. Sandra is a very cheerful person with a happy disposition, and her friendliness and infectious laughter make every guest feel at home at the centre. The locals, too, and the entire team love her pleasant manner and the warmth she displays as she attends to everything. Sandra is also very well organised and has the centre and office well under control. She is a keen kitesurfer and is making extremely rapid progress.
Sandra has got a weakness for stray cats, however, like those that can be seen hanging around the centres, alone and abandoned. She cannot bear to leave them to their fate and adopts them - Roger und Simon are still looking after her adopted Egyptian cats today.
As of June 2004, Sandra will be in Ras Sudr and from mid-October 2004 in El Yaque.
Dear Sandra, we greatly appreciate you and your friendly and natural manner and hope to have you in the team for many more years. Thank you for your efforts, your commitment and your courteous, warm-hearted behaviour towards your team as centre manager. We are well aware of our good fortune in having you as our employee!
