Sandra Sterz

Name : Sandra Sterz
Born : 1982
Team member since : 2007
Prior Club Mistral Destinations : Golf de Roses, Sal, Preá

Sandra is originally from Kärnten in Austria. Since finishing her studies in Tourism in 2002 she has been working in sports tourism. She worked in Austria as a Ski and Snowboard instructor for a few winters, before she did her first season with us on the beach in Golf de Roses in 2007, where she took very good care of the Shop and Guest relations.
Owing to several stays abroad (Hawaii, Canada, Rhodes) and the fact that she grew up with 2 languages, her mother is Dutch and her father Austrian, she is very talented in languages.

Sandra adapted really quickly and easily to life and work at the Club Mistral center, and she did a really good job in her first season in Roses. She really liked it there so decided to do a second season the following year. Alongside German, Dutch, English and French, she learnt Spanish very quickly, and at the end of the second season her level of communication was already pretty good.

These language skills really helped her to take perfect care of all our international guests.
Sandra is very tolerant and open minded as well as reliable and helpful, and this is what all guests and the team appreciate a lot. She is very popular and her bright character is infectuous! Sandra is also very sporty. She is a very competent snowboarder and she learned windsurfing in a very short space of time. Thanks to the easy conditions in Roses as well as her natural talent, she also picked up kitesurfing very quickly. Maybe the reason for this was the attractive and very friendly kite instructor Patrick, who has now been Sandra’s boyfriend since 2007?! Co-incidentally, Patrick is also half Dutch and half Austrian. The only difference being that he grew up in Holland not in Austria.

Patrick decided to spend the winter season 2007/08 in El Yaque working as a kite instructor at the Skyriders Center, while Sandra decided to spend the winter working in a ski resort. So they were separated for a season… but Sandra managed to escape the winter twice in order to spend some time in Venezuela with Patrick, and also to improve her kite surfing skills even more.

In June 2008 Patrick and Sandra went back to Golf de Roses and Sandra worked as a windsurf instructor for children between 6 and 9 years. They really loved Sandra and her courses were always full! In fact, they would often ask their parents if they could continue with the lessons after the course was over because they had so much fun. After just 3 hours the children could turn and sail in both directions. Sandra definitely has a special talent with children - she even manages to teach them quite difficult things like windward and leeward!

This winter season 2008/2009 Sandra and Patrick are again working for Club Mistral on the island of Sal. Sandra will be taking care of guest relations and administration. We know she will, as always, do a really great job.

Sandra is a very special person who you really should get to know, and we are very pleased to have her in our team. We wish Sandra all the best, a lot of success, and many years with us in the Club Mistral family.
