Team Member of the Month March 2010 is Axel Heuze wh works for us at Club Mistral El Yaque.
Since the beginning of the winter season 2009/10 he has been the center manager of this “Caribbean Dream Center” and is doing an absolutely fantastic job!
For the first 2 years (Axel started working for us in 2007) he spent the seasons working as a windsurfing instructor, and now he still gives lessons from time to time, because he loves doing it and because his students love him doing it.
He´s not only super professional in his courses and knows a lot about teaching methods, but he somehow gives his students the same enthusiasm on the water as he has. Guests are simply crazy about his lessons and a lot of them come back year after year just to keep on learning windsurfing with Axel by their side.
For himself Axel spends as much time on the water as possible. He´s obsessed with windsurfing and he´s really good at it.
No matter if it’s New School Freestyle or Wave Riding, Frontloops, Backloops or Spocks, he loves it all as long as there is a sail in his (already callous) hands and a board under his feet.
What he especially likes are tough conditions like for example in the South of France, Perpignan - maybe because he loves to push the limits… and goes for nothing else but “BIG”.
Axel has always had something to be crazy about.
When he was younger, he wouldn’t stop playing football anymore and was playing at a very high level.
Now that he´s older, he still likes to play and does it as often as he can. However, it´s more the “sofa-soccer” he´s now addicted to: following results, watching it on TV or playing FIFA 2010 on the Xbox…
Windsurfing, football…. skiing! Another thing Axel loves to do. What a sporty person! Always active, always on the run. Skiing is not only his hobby but he used to earn his money from it: a few winter seasons he worked as a qualified rescue skier in the Pyrenees, bringing people down the slopes when injured.
You can imagine that such an active and sporty person has a very balanced personality.
A calm temper, smooth and easy going, always smiling, polite – that´s Axel! He´s great company and not only the whole Club Mistral team loves him but of course also the guests who really hype him!
In our questionnaire which our guests can fill in after their holiday (HERE), a lot of people have stated that they loved the atmosphere at the center, that they loved the team - and that they loved Axel.
He´s always there for a chat, always willing to give tips about the equipment choice (which you can 100% rely on) or windsurfing techniques.
Another great and special thing about Axel is the fact that he manages to create a really relaxed atmosphere at the center while working hard at the same time – there´s not a lot of people who can do that! He´s really into organization and wants everything to be perfect – and smiles while he’s doing it!
So… we talked about his great job, his great personality and all his hobbies – as for his hobbies there´s one more we shouldn´t forget to mention: partying. Being French and being a fixed member of Club Mistral´s notorious “French Connection” (a horde of Frenchies you can have A LOT of fun with!) he´s always ready and motivated when it comes to having a great night out.
Axel is simply a person you can have fun with - on the water, at the center and at parties. A person you just love to have around, a guy you can really count on, a team member we will never let go!
