Our team member of the month August 2009 is Katja Bertram who is now working in our Head Office in Weilheim.
Katja started working for Club Mistral in 2008, when she first came to Club Mistral & Skyriders Golf de Roses in Spain.
However she had already collected a lot of experience in the windsurfing business before that; for almost 1 year she was running a windsurfing center on the Maldives and when she had enough of these small islands she decided to spend a season in Naxos…
LUCKILY she then found out about Club Mistral and was eager to work with us. “Luckily” because in the end Katja is just an absolute enrichment to our team and our company!
When she finished her season as a windsurfing instructor in Golf de Roses, she was keen on discovering another destination of ours and ended up in Essaouira / Morocco.
Although she liked the life on the beach and of course loved to have such a great windsurfing spot right in front of her doorstep, she wanted to move on and learn more about the company – and so came to Weilheim to work with us in the Head Office.
Here she now works in the booking department and is responsible for customer services and reservations and is doing a fantastic job!
No matter how many times a day the telephone is ringing and no matter how many questions she´s asked, she is just always super friendly to everybody and this in a very natural and really likeable way.
Always in a good mood, all smiling and happy but very reliable and accurate at the same time, she brings a breath of fresh air to the Head Office and we can definitely say that we are all really happy about having her in our team!!
In her private life Katja has quite a lot of hobbies she´s really into. Most important for her is to stay active and to keep on moving, outside in the Bavarian mountainous nature.
There she goes hiking or she explores her new homeland on the bike.
Apart from that she loves to go out and party. Probably here we should mention that it´s not only the Bavarian mountains she likes but also the Bavarian beer…
Since Bavaria doesn´t only offer mountains, beer, more mountains and more beer but also some lakes and some wind from time to time, Katja has of course found her new home-spot, the “Ammersee” and has already shown the local guys how fast a girl from Lower Saxony can be.
Windsurfing is definitely the thing she gave her heart away for and this you can see every time the trees outside the office windows start to move;
