Our team member of the month for June 2009 is Resit Adar.
Resit has been a fixed and essential member of our small Club Mistral family for the last 8 years and we can´t imagine Alacati without Resit anymore, he is an absolute enrichment!
8 years ago he started working for us in service, but soon he started giving windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons which he really enjoyed – so it’s no surprise that he managed to get the VDWS kitesurfing and windsurfing instructors licenses within a really short time.
Also his own windsurfing and kiting is just great.
He prefers to spend his free time kitesurfing and he´s totally motivated; as soon as it seems to be a windy evening, his stuff is ready and packed and he´s jumping around in his wetsuit, crazy for some action!
Resit has different duties now;
as assistant manager he has more than enough to do so he only gives lessons to long-term guests or friends, who don´t want any other instructor but him.
He does a fantastic job as assistant manager, he´s always friendly, helpful and obliging with the guests, he sells equipment and lessons like no other, and moreover he´s even helping a lot with the Turkish bookkeeping which is definitely not an easy job.
Besides this he is now also taking care of our new Club Mistral center in Datca which means travelling a lot, but still he remains willing and able to take on even more responsibility, and we know we can rely on him 100%!
For Tobi Prade, our center manager in Alacati, he´s more important than anybody else as he can fully put his trust into Resit.
Tobi is just happy to be able to work with him and to have him in the center.
Resit is fully into his job at Club Mistral – for him working is not just working, but pure fun!
During the winter Resit and his brother Mesut, who came to Club Mistral last year, renovated the whole center and Resit showed us his technical skills yet again. The result is just great!!
Resit and Mesut are the perfect team and also Mesut is a great asset for us.
In his private life, Resit is a rather quiet person and he loves to spend time with his small family, his wife and his daughter or to spend time on the water, kitesurfing – but still, he never says “no” to another beer….!
Within the team, Resit commands respect and no matter what he says, people take notice immediately. Everybody, not only the team but actually all of Alacati call him “Abi” which in Turkish means “big brother” and which expresses not only respect but also admiration.
Resit is just great!! He´s always friendly and ready for a joke and working with him is real fun; he makes you laugh a lot and makes your working day enjoyable.
Resit, we love you and we hope that we have you in our team for a long, long time!
