We had been desperately searching for a windsurfing instructor for Dahab almost 10 years ago when we received Felix's application...
Felix enjoyed being with Club Mistral right from the start, and we were all impressed by his motivation and likeable manner. After a very successful season in Dahab, he moved on to Alacati, not only to help Manu guarantee smooth operations at the center, but also to help him set it up. The first season in Alacati was a complete success, also thanks to Felix!
As a result of the experience he gained in Alacati, he was asked to set up and manage the new center in St. Lucia. Despite some initial difficulties with the hotels, which did not discourage him, he built a fantastic center with scrupulous attention to detail and was able to offer his guests a great service. Feedback about Felix was only positive and he was the reason for many Club Mistral guests' first trip to St. Lucia on holiday.
In spring the next challenge arrived on Felix's doorstep: setting up, opening and managing our new center in Rhodes! In his usual calm manner, he managed everything again, a task that appeared almost impossible in the beginning. In he first few weeks, he and his team summoned all of their practical and administrative talents and slaved away until the center was finished and met the Club Mistral standards. We would like to congratulate Felix and all of his helpers!
After these 3 destinations Felix moved to El Yaque. There he was successfully managing the centers for 2 seasons until a new challenge showed up: Mauritius! He liked it there so much that he ended up staying for over 3 years. Mauritius is one of our most demanding centers considering the spot, safety, administration and team, but Felix managed this task successfully and as usual with a lot of patience. After 3 years on this lovely island, Felix decided to move closer to Europe and took over management of the center in Essaouira for one season. In Essaouira he also had many things to handle with the restructure of the existing center, then the opening and change of the location to the new center and organization of the team.
After a long holiday in Australia, and to our surprise, Felix decided to move back to Bavaria. Since January 2009 he has been working at the Head Office in Weilheim. He is responsible for the staff, finances and supports logistics, as well as travelling to centers to offer support to them. It seemed that the beginning was a bit hard, as when Felix arrived in Weilheim in January it was about minus 10 degrees, which was difficult to get used to after such a long time on the beach. As Felix is originally from Bavaria he got used to it very quickly and has found a nice apartment
in Herrsching at the Ammersee. You can’t really compare the waves on this lake to Australia, but it’s still a really nice place to live!
Felix is always in a good mood, has a kind word for everyone and often thanks his team for their great cooperation. Now it's our turn to thank him for his fantastic commitment and wonderful manner. We are proud to have Felix in our team and we are really happy that he started working at the Head Office in Weilheim.
Felix, thanks for your commitment and we hope you will stay with the Club Mistral family for a long time!
